MasterCraft’s New 2017 XT20 - Video Review

October 5, 2016

MasterCraft’s New XT20 Delivers Endless Variety, New Features at an Attainable Price

Latest Do-It-All Crossover Packs Best-in-Class Performance into Garage-Friendly Size

VONORE, Tenn. (October 4, 2016) – MasterCraft’s (NASDAQ: MCFT) new highly versatile, twenty foot XT20 boat packs best-in-class performance and styling into a garage-friendly size. Building on the success of the recently-released XT23 model, the XT20 is MasterCraft’s latest addition to its new lineup of category-crushing, crossover boats that deliver premium comfort and performance at a more approachable price.

Compact in size but overflowing with features, the XT20 is designed to exceed expectations, perfect for the action-minded family in which everyone has their own favorite way to play. The multi-sport XT20 can do it all without compromise whether the preference is waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, pulling the kids on inflatables, or simply enjoying a sunset cruise.

The new XT20 is powered by the latest line of General Motors engines marinized exclusively for MasterCraft by Ilmor Marine, the engineering team behind numerous Indy winning racecars. The XT20 comes standard with a 5.7L multi-port injection V8 engine (5000 MPI V8); for those who prefer gasoline direct injection, Ilmor has introduced the new 5500 GDI V8 model (5.3L) along with the bolder 6000 GDI V8 model (6.0L).

The aggressive XT-series hull lines on the new XT20 deliver agile, responsive handling with minimum bow rise, maximizing the enjoyment on the water. The spacious helm and new ergonomic dashboard allow the driver to control everything from the size and shape of the wake to the sound and lighting systems through the intuitive Murphy touchscreen. New for 2017, MasterCraft boats can be outfitted with the revolutionary Dockstar Handling System, an innovative flanking rudder system that makes maneuvering in tight spots and crowded marinas a breeze.

Armed with MasterCraft’s award-winning optional Gen 2 Surf System and up to 1,700 pounds of optional ballast, the fully loaded XT20 lays down a clean wake for waterskiing, perfectly sculpted lips for wakeboarding and chest-high curling surf waves. Three zones of hard-sided ballast tanks are hidden in the floor to maximize storage space as well as simplify the winterization process.

Graced with MasterCraft’s signature pickle-fork bow and wrap-around interior seating, the XT20 can comfortably accommodate up to 11 passengers with more than 70 cubic feet of easy-to-access storage space throughout the boat. The entire boat can be outfitted with MasterCraft’s new “Cool Feel” vinyl that stays cool to the touch even after extended exposure to direct sunlight. Owners can also opt for the integrated Cordova Cooler system to be the first to serve up endless everything on the water next summer.

The XT20 includes a choice of customizable towers, either the ZFT4 or ZFT7 Power Tower, with the latter available in countless configurations of colors, speaker layouts and vertical storage options. The entire boat has been decked out with MasterCraft’s new aluminum billet stylings providing for a polished, almost bejeweled look. For those who want to load up on no limits, the exterior of the XT20 can also be completely customized thanks to a broadened palette of gel coat and flake patterns.

Like all MasterCraft boats, the XT20 comes with the best warranty on the water, the five year MasterCare protection plan. Hand-built by “Master Craftsmen” in the company’s U.S.-based manufacturing facility in Vonore, TN, MasterCraft boats are constructed with quality and reliability in mind resulting in the highest resale values in the industry.
