2017 Nautique G23 - Top 3 Features + Video

October 18, 2016

The all new 2017 Nautique G23 is the most impressive G23 to date!  The iconic multi dimensional hull of the G23 changed the wake boat game a few years ago and Nautique continues to tweak the hull to produce amazing wakes and waves.  We had the chance to jump on board with world class wake surfers John Akerman & Drew Drennan to test out the new G23 to see what all they hype is about. Here is our top 3 favorite features:

  1. Wake Transfer Time:  The Nautique Surf System (NSS) transfers the wave from side to side in a blink of an eye! (Watch the transfer time in the video)
  2. Storage:  One thing the G23 has never been short on is storage.  With maximum amount of storage space keeping your gear out of the way and organized is a breeze.
  3. Simplistic Helm:  The G23 helm has a sleek look with a low profile dash allowing great driver visibility, fresh looking upholstery patterns on the dash, race car inspired extremely comfortable driver seat, and helm control built into the arm rest.

Interesting fact: with the new hull changes adding more weight to the boat doesn't help much to make the wake bigger, it actually washes it out.  We were going 11.1 MPH in video with the NSS set at 0/5 with only stock ballast.

It almost goes without saying we are thoroughly impressed with the 2017 G23.  Check out the boat specs in the image below from Nautique.com
